the rivercraft bamboo ROD collection series
FIND YOUR RIVERCRAFT
We understand and appreciate the history, lore, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty of a truly handcrafted bamboo fly rod. But we also understand that not everyone wants to spend thousands of dollars on a rod that they’re then afraid to take to the river. At Rivercraft Rodsmiths, we believe a bamboo rod should be more than something beautiful to admire—it should be something you fish. That’s why we work hard to keep our handcrafted rods priced within reach of more anglers, while also offering other bamboo rod options at even more accessible price points. Our goal is simple: to make it possible for more people to experience the feel, character, and unmistakable spirit of a real bamboo fly rod without feeling like they have to leave it at home.
At Rivercraft Rodsmiths, We Give You Three Ways to Experience Bamboo
Whether you're curious about bamboo, looking for a dependable everyday river rod, or searching for a one-of-a-kind heirloom, Rivercraft Rodsmiths has a rod for you.
RIVER SERIES Rods — Discover Bamboo
Our River Series rods offer an authentic bamboo experience without the traditional premium price. Professionally crafted to our standards, they deliver excellent quality, dependable performance, and the unmistakable feel and character of bamboo—making them an ideal introduction for anglers ready to discover what fishing bamboo is all about. River Series Rods include a 90-day warranty against manufacturing defects
FIELD SERIES Rods — Experience the Craft
Our Field Series rods begin with professionally crafted bamboo blanks, which our rod makers then individually fit, wrap, finish, and inspect by hand in our Utah shop. The result blends the distinctive feel and character of bamboo with Rivercraft craftsmanship and attention to detail—delivering exceptional quality, performance, and value at a more approachable price than a fully handcrafted rod. All Field Series Rods include a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
HANDCRAFTED SERIES Rods — Where Craft Becomes Legacy
Our Master Series represents the highest expression of traditional bamboo rod making. Each rod begins with carefully selected raw Tonkin cane and is handcrafted from start to finish by our rod makers. Every strip is individually shaped, fitted, glued, finished, and precisely tuned to create a one-of-a-kind fly rod—combining exceptional performance with the character, artistry, and heirloom quality that only a truly handcrafted bamboo rod can offer. All Handcrafted Series Rods include a 2-year “butt to tip” warranty against manufacturing defects and accidental breakage.
We offer free cold laser engraving of your name or initials on all of our rods.
Of course, we invite you to join us for one of our bamboo rod-building classes where you can build your very own Field Series or Handcrafted rod. See our Courses page for more information.
