Our Master Level Bamboo Fly Rod Building Class is an immersive, one-week experience designed for those ready to take their rod-building skills to the next level. Over the course of the week, students work through the complete process of building a handcrafted bamboo fly rod while learning the techniques, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that have kept bamboo rods alive for generations.
From selecting and splitting cane to planing, gluing, assembling, guide wrapping, finishing, and final preparation, students experience the entire rod-building process from raw bamboo to a finished fly rod they can proudly call their own.
This isn’t a class where you simply watch someone else build a rod. You build it. You learn the skills, make the decisions, solve the inevitable little problems, and leave with something that represents your own time, effort, and craftsmanship.
